Business Development, Associate Manager

The Vertex Companies, Inc. (VERTEX) is looking for an individual to join our team as a Business   Development, Associate   Manager   in   our   Denver, Colorado office. VERTEX is a rapidly growing, multi-national consulting firm that is experiencing exponential growth, and we’re looking to augment our team of talented individuals.

This position opened due to internal growth and the position offers the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced architects, engineers and construction professionals. The firm focuses on a diverse set of projects such as commercial fit outs as well as structural and civil engineering services.

The Associate Manager’s responsibility is to develop and foster a pipeline of new business that relates to Construction, Engineering, and Forensic Consulting.

Core Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Managers with preparing a list of qualified prospects each year.

  • Identifies business development opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses; establishing targeted market share.

  • Set up meetings between qualified prospects, clients, and Senior Managers (and potentially attend meetings).

  • Maintain VERTEX’s CRM software to ensure that prospecting and account management activity is properly recorded, analyze new leads, and track client interaction.

  • Coordinate with Marketing to understand and promote the VERTEX brand within company guidelines.

  • Attending trade conferences as necessary. Analyze the ROI and report to Sr. Management.

Qualifications

 Education

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 1-2 years of marketing and or business development experience.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Business development, sales or client relationship management is a plus.

  • Exceptional organizational skills.

  • Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Must be flexible, adaptable and be able to work independently.
