VERTEX provides Civil and Structural Design services, Forensic Engineering services, and Expert services on projects throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico. Our design services include Civil and Structural engineering. Our Forensic Engineering staff includes Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical engineers and we have licenses in all 50 states. Our Expert services typically involve opinions relating to the standard of care of engineering professionals and the development of reasonable engineering solutions.

Sam McGlamery, PE, SE

Mr. Sam McGlamery has 35 years’ experience as a structural engineer and has been responsible for the structural design for over $2.0 billion of construction including educational facilities, places of worship, university buildings, hospitals, hotels, industrial projects, multi-family, parking garages, historic renovations, adaptive reuse of buildings, and structural investigations. In addition to complete project design and coordination, his experience also includes extensive field administration, specifications writing, project management and cost estimating.

William Dery, PE

Mr. Dery has over 26 years of experience in structural engineering design and forensic investigations. Forensic investigations have been associated with residential and commercial building structures. Mr. Dery has provided workshops to engineering groups, building officials, and university students. Mr. Dery has developed in-house proprietary software for the analysis and design of hurricane force winds, seismic loads and snow load effects on buildings.

Mr. VanDemark has over 16 years of experience in Civil Engineering & Land Development and has a strong educational background in Structural Engineering & Engineering Management. Mr. VanDemark has provided comprehensive Civil Land Development Services on a multitude of projects including grading, drainage, utilities design in addition to erosion control, due diligence, jurisdictional coordination, entitlements, construction observation and project management. Additionally, Mr. VanDemark has provided Civil Forensics Services for projects that have included construction defects, cost to complete, standard of care, insurance claims, surety claims, allocation, eminent domain and appraisals.
