VERTEX was retained as the Owner’s Representative to the Master Developer of the former South Weymouth Naval Air Station. The project totaled 1,400 acres of mixed-use development including: ┬áconservation land, residential property, commercial space, retail space, movie studios, an 18-hole golf course, and a sports complex. VERTEX services during the pre-construction phase included feasibility studies, cost estimate preparation, and construction management plan preparation. During the construction phase VERTEX provided oversight of the construction for all infrastructure to support development, builder coordination, and project reporting.

Along with Owner’s Rep services, the client opted to use VERTEX’s TI (Tenant Improvement) services. VERTEX took on several labor intensive hands on projects for the client. Projects included securing over a dozen vacant navy buildings per state fire code regulations, clearing low growth vegetation from around vacant building, repairs to aging infrastructure, and other small property management related projects.
