The final steel beam was signed and hoisted at 11:30 AM Tuesday during the Topping Off Ceremony for Zinc at 22 Water Street, the newest luxury residential apartment tower in East Cambridge. VERTEX’s Jaron Frieden and Frank Calandra were in attendance alongside many others who were involved in the development of the property. Since 2012, VERTEX has been managing environmental remediation associated with the development of the 15-story residential tower, working for one of the largest national developers of multi-family housing, Wood Partners. Like much of the Boston and Cambridge area, the site was first developed in the early 1800s and had many industrial uses over the centuries. During the event, Ms. Adelaide Grady, Wood Partners Director of Development Boston stated, “The team at 22 Water Street in Cambridge has been wonderful to work with and we are so proud of this development and furthering the revitalization in Cambridge.  VERTEX has been an integral part of the success of this project due to their exceptional expertise, can do attitude and constant sense of urgency.” For more information on VERTEX’s environmental remediation work at Zinc at 22 Water Street in Cambridge and other projects contact Jaron Frieden at jfrieden@vertexeng.com or Frank Calandra at fcalandra@vertexeng.com
