The general contractor, as claimant, sought damages more than the penal sum of the surety’s bond. VERTEX performed a CPM analysis of the project schedules to evaluate critical and concurrent delays, evaluated the propriety of the contractor’s termination of the subcontractor, and evaluated completion costs and backcharges to determine if they were proper and reasonable, with VERTEX’s findings presented in an expert report. The matter settled at mediation prior to the arbitration hearing.
