On behalf of the Surety, VERTEX oversaw the work performed on a radio facility in Honolulu, Hawaii that included additional construction at the site and improvements on existing structures. The scope of work included the construction of an approximately 484-square foot, 12-foot high building to include a power and equipment room and an emergency generator room. Other related improvements include a retaining wall with security fencing, a block wall fence with masonry veneer, an aboveground diesel fuel tank, and drainage improvements. Upgrades of existing and installation of new electrical, mechanical, fire alarm, and other systems were also key components of this radio tower facility. VERTEX’s scope of services included cost-to-complete analysis, construction relet, full-time on-site supervision of the work being performed, preparation of RFI and submittal documentation, and other construction administration services.
