VTX was brought in by a surety to assist a General Contractor with its incomplete projects due to financial issues. VTX assessed the status of several ongoing projects, prepared multiple cost to complete reports, and prepared an overall financial analysis. Based on the findings, VTX was retained to provide project management and site monitoring on the replacement of “Exterior Cladding and Windows”, on a Civic Centre located in Northern Ontario. The new cladding is comprised of aluminum-plastic composite panels along with new seals on the windows, and a white/black colour combination will replace the current gold colour scheme.
VTX’s scope of services included preparing cost-to-complete reports, ratification of subcontractors, reconciliation of subcontractors, remedial work review, site monitoring, conducting weekly Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings, managing construction progress and subcontractor reconciliations and completion, structure analyses, change orders review financially and technically, processing payment, project closeout, funds control and other construction administration services.
