Chris PhillipsCIH, CHMM

Regional Vice President, I.H.B.S.

Chris Phillips has over 30 years of progressively responsible and diverse experience in the disciplines of environmental compliance, industrial hygiene, due diligence and safety and currently serves as a Regional Vice President for VERTEX in the Western Region. Mr. Phillips is responsible for assisting with the development, management and execution of the Environmental business in the West, consistent with the company’s vision, mission and core values.

Mr. Phillip’s technical experience includes program and project management of environmental, health and safety multi-media compliance audits; air, water, hazardous material and waste permitting, planning and reporting; greenhouse gas emissions inventories and verifications; hazardous waste management and minimization; environmental management system implementation; industrial hygiene exposure assessments; indoor air quality and microbial investigations; safety program development and implementation; and asbestos, lead-based paint and polychlorinated biphenyl management.

He has extensive knowledge and experience interpreting and applying the requirements of Federal, State and local environmental, health and safety laws and regulations across a wide-range of industries; and has a demonstrated ability to manage and execute projects effectively and safely to meet client’s scope of work, schedule, budget and quality expectations.

His broad technical skills have been utilized to provide innovative, practical and cost-effective solutions for clients in the manufacturing, aerospace, agribusiness, construction/development, industrial, property management, insurance, K-12 and higher education institutions, government, municipalities, transportation, ports, hospitality, semiconductor, retail, oil and gas, financial institutions, telecommunications, healthcare and power generation sectors.
