Jared O’Brien is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire from the College of Engineering and Physical Science where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Earth Science. Mr. O’Brien started in VERTEX’s Environmental Remediation Group in Boston, Massachusetts right after graduation. After a few years, Mr. O’Brien joined VERTEX University and is now pursuing a Masters of Engineering in Construction Engineering Management at the University of Colorado.
Mr. O’Brien switched into VERTEX’s Surety Group as a Project Engineer and is currently working on two large completion projects at Pease Air National Guard Base in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Mr. O’Brien’s typical responsibilities include daily operations of fieldwork activities, coordination and implementation of the project, project schedule coordination, reviewing requests for information (RFIs), creating submittals for Government approval, project reporting, closeout of projects, assisting senior construction project managers, and other project-related activities.
