William Schmidt serves as Vice President of Remediation in our Aston, Pennsylvania office. Mr. Schmidt has over 26 years of experience in environmental consulting including: performing all aspects of Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments, site characterizations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design, hazardous waste site assessments, underground storage tank management, closure and installation, vapor intrusion investigation and mitigation, construction management oversight, subcontract monitoring and project cost control, site safety monitoring, and landfill investigations/closures. He has managed numerous projects involving site investigation, characterization and remediation of contaminated industrial and commercial sites including dozens of projects in Pennsylvania under the Pennsylvania Land Recycling and Environmental Remediation Standards Act (Act 2). His consulting experience spans the chemical, pharmaceutical and petroleum industries, retail, banking, developers, and law firms. He has strong relationship, team building, problem solving, communication and leadership skills demonstrated by managing successful efforts with each client type.

Mr. Schmidt has extensive experience in hazardous and non-hazardous disposal techniques as well as a thorough knowledge of Pennsylvania regulations and guidance documents regarding Act 2, Closure Requirements for Underground Storage Tank Systems, Vapor Intrusion into Buildings from Groundwater and Soil, and Management of Fill.

As Vice President, Mr. Schmidt is responsible for project and staff management, document review, quality control, serving as the liaison between clients, contractors and regulatory agencies, project management and client management. He is responsible for business development, client interaction, proposal preparation and quality assurance of project deliverables.
