Mr. Carey is a senior mechanical engineer with over 18 years of experience including expertise in central chilled water plants (variable primary, primary-secondary, water cooled, and air cooled) and central heating water plants in addition to airflow distribution. Mr. Carey has extensive commissioning experience in laboratories, hospitals, correctional facilities, higher education, high-capacity multi-purpose venues, and high-rise mixed use commercial buildings. Mr. Carey has experience with the optimization of building mechanical systems including building automation systems (DDC and Pneumatic), HVAC, chilled water, heating water, centrifugal pumps, and air and water balancing. Forensic investigation experience includes evaluating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) failures in commercial and residential building systems, laboratories, multipurpose arenas, and educational facilities. Mr. Carey has been involved with assisting building owners obtain LEED credits for Commissioning (Enhanced) and indoor air quality testing. Mr. Carey is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Colorado and is an active member of ASHRAE.
