Overview

Joseph P. DeMaria is a Registered Architect and Professional Planner with over 40 years of experience in the design and construction administration of commercial, institutional, religious, cultural, governmental, educational, hospitality, industrial and residential projects. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and holds a national certificate for architecture from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).

He is an experienced architect whose architectural experience includes master planning, zoning, and planning board presentations, building design, the integration of engineering disciplines for complex projects, specifications and bid documents, along with the administration of construction contracts, inspections, change order reviews, project punch-lists and post occupancy evaluations. In addition, he has expertise in photovoltaic solar power design where he has been the architect of record for over one hundred rooftop and ground array installations.

Mr. DeMaria has conducted investigations for mid-rise building structures, facades, roofs, finishes, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, fire protection and elevator systems. In addition, he has conducted cause and origin investigations of building design failures, building code violations, and building industry standards failures. Furthermore, he has performed infrared thermography camera analyses, invasive moisture meter testing and investigations of flooring slip resistance failures, acoustic failures and lighting failures. Mr. DeMaria is an expert on the Architect’s Standard of Care and has evaluated design and construction failures regarding the standard.
