Project #
LKB was retained by Westchester County Department of Public Works to provide design services and prepare construction documents for the rehabilitation of a historic steel truss bridge which was constructed in 1894. The bridge is eligible for historic registration and was treated as a historic bridge. Work included an inspection, preparation of an Evaluation Report, and the preparation of preliminary and final contract documents, and construction support. Rehabilitation work included: repaving of the approaches, repair of the vertical members, painting the superstructure, repairing/replacing cross bracing, replacement of truss pins, restoration of bearings, repair of deck grating, and repair of bridge seats and wingwall. Design work also included the preparation of MPT plans with staged construction and temporary detours.
