Aaron HarrigfeldAIA

Forensic Architect, Forensics

Mr. Harrigfeld serves as a Forensic Architect for the forensic division at VERTEX and is a Registered Architect in the State of Idaho. He has over ten years of design experience in architecture in addition to over eight years of project management experience in a variety of project types including commercial, industrial, educational, institutional, retail, multi & single-family residential as well as mixed-use projects. Mr. Harrigfeld provides a wide array of consulting services including forensic analysis of construction defects, building envelope assessments, water intrusion investigations, and property loss claims. Mr. Harrigfeld has expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA), and Defect Elimination (DE).

Prior to joining VERTEX, Mr. Harrigfeld served as a Project Manager and Reliability Engineer for two global corporations managing multi-million-dollar capital improvement projects along with directing the development of a world-class Reliability Centered Maintenance program with a focus on Asset Management. He also served as a Project Manager and an Architect-in-Training managing entitlements, design, technical detailing, engineering coordination, and construction administration on a variety of building types. Mr. Harrigfeld has acquired a broad base of knowledge throughout his professional career and has developed expertise to traverse the day-to-day challenges presented throughout the life cycle of any project. Mr. Harrigfeld is engaged in continuing education regarding forensic architecture, project management, and building science.
