Richard J. Jackson is a healthcare-focused design and construction professional with more than 30 years of experience leading complex capital projects for healthcare systems, higher education institutions, and public-sector organizations. Throughout his career, he has managed all phases of project delivery, including planning, design, budgeting, scheduling, construction administration, and owner’s project management.

Richard brings a unique perspective to healthcare facility development, having begun his career as a Medical Service Specialist in the United States Air Force, where he provided patient care in medical and surgical units, intensive care, emergency services, and outpatient clinics. This firsthand clinical experience has informed his approach to creating environments that support both caregivers and patients.

His healthcare portfolio includes projects for St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Heywood Hospital, Hallmark Health System, Baystate Medical Center, Dimock Health Center, Healthcare for the Homeless, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the new Holyoke Soldiers’ Home campus. His work spans hospital expansions, ambulatory care facilities, behavioral health centers, long-term care facilities, and specialty clinical environments.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Boston Architectural College, is an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and is certified as a Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO).
