Director – Claims, Disputes & Forensics
Mr. Rawdon specialises in the valuation of complex claims involving valuation and measurement, delay, disruption, variations, defective works and termination claims. He has over 19 years experience on construction and engineering projects across multiple sectors in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe. Mr. Rawdon has experience of several forms of dispute resolution including Adjudication, Arbitration (domestic and international), Mediation and UK Litigation.
Robert Rawdon has represented both Contractors and Employers during various roles including Quantity Surveyor, Contract Administrator and Employers Agent. He has nineteen years’ experience in construction sectors and has a first class degree in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management. He has also completed an MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution (pass with Merit) at Kings College, London.
He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a member of the Society of Construction Law and King’s College Construction Law Association.
Mr. Rawdon has been lead assistant to quantum experts in Adjudication, Arbitration and Mediation proceedings. Mr. Rawdon specialises in the valuation of complex claims involving valuation and measurement, delay, disruption, variations, defective works and termination claims.
He has also assisted both quantum and delay experts in commissions including preparation and advice in advance of escalation to formal dispute processes and in providing responses for the same.
He has demonstrated his ability to manage project data, research and produce claims narratives based upon his findings concerning delay events on building projects. His skills include the ability to undertake detailed financial analysis on projects and produce clear advice.
Previous roles have provided Robert with key experience of projects from inception through to contract completion. He demonstrated his commercial and strategic skills throughout the project life cycle including leading on procurement strategies pre-contract, managing risk and cost post-contract.
