Christopher Morley ARM

Managing Director, Forensic, Risk Management & Engineering Design

Mr. Morley has over 20 years of experience in the environmental and insurance support consulting industry. As the Managing Director of Forensic, Risk Management & Engineering Design (FRED), Mr. Morley manages daily operations, business development, and the overall strategic growth of VERTEX’s technical services supporting the insurance, legal, & construction industries. Annually, Mr. Morley’s team completes thousands of complex insurance claims & underwriting assignments requiring environmental, architectural, engineering, construction, & fire investigation expertise. Additionally, FRED provides traditional civil & structural engineering design solutions for all types of ground-up construction involving commercial, residential, & industrial projects.

Previously, Mr. Morley held the position of Vice President within VERTEX’s environmental insurance services division. Mr. Morley was the primary account manager of multiple insurance accounts throughout the US. He managed a national team of engineers, scientists, geologists, and claim specialists providing environmental claim services to the insurance industry.

Mr. Morley has previously held the position of Project Scientist/Project Manager for one other Massachusetts-based engineering and consulting firm. His responsibilities included direct project management of multiple investigations and emergency response for releases of oil and hazardous materials. Specific project tasks included conducting subsurface investigations, environmental assessments, design and coordination of remedial activities, and preparation of all regulatory submittals and technical reports in accordance with applicable Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, and New Jersey regulations.
