Known for its unique southwestern architecture and cultural décor, the Albuquerque International Sunport is the busiest commercial airport in New Mexico, handling over 5 million people annually. The Sunport provides nonstop service between ABQ and 29 locations with global connectivity, and it is served by 8 major carriers.
The Principal’s scope of work included demolition, installation, replacement, and testing of various low voltage systems throughout the airport, incorporating the security, communication system including control workstations, badging workstations, and maintenance and systems administrations workstations. The public address system included loudspeakers, microphone stations, ambient sensors and sound process-amplification equipment. The CCTV system included field equipment, video data recording, management – storage subsystems, and interfaces such as alarm operator display and control workstations. Finally, the existing IT system and electrical infrastructures are integrated to support these systems.
VERTEX was retained by the Surety to assist the Principal and Obligee in closing out a 3,000+ item punch list. Specifically, VERTEX provided full time onsite representation for the Surety, which included developing a system to closeout all the punch list items, project administration, scheduling updates, and inspection walks.
