Dr. VanDemark Elevates AEC Industry as Guest Editor for ASCE Educational Materials
We’re excited to share that VERTEX’s very own Dr. Lance VanDemark, PhD, PE, FASCE, made a significant impact as a guest editor for The Journal of Legal Affairs and Dispute Resolution in Engineering and Construction (LADR), in partnership with the ASCE Construction Institute (CI).
Manuscripts were presented and peer reviewed as part of the international LADR workshop in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 24 through October 27, 2023. There were thirty-seven (37) approved manuscripts presented at the conference in a hybrid format. Calls for papers were sent in late 2022, with a manuscript deadline of August 2023. The presentations covered topics in BIM, COVID 19 related disputes and NLP recognition related to claims among many other diverse and important topics.
Through great response by the authors and effort of the reviewers and LADR Board, the editors were pleased to present the articles in this collection as part of their aim to improve dispute resolution in engineering and construction for the benefit of the industry.
