VERTEX Announces Appointment of David Tortorello, PE as Chief Executive Officer and William McConnell, PE MSCE, JD as Chairman of the Board
The Vertex Companies, LLC (Vertex), a leading Forensics and AEC (Architecture-Engineering-Construction) firm, today announced the appointment of David Tortorello PE as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective March 21, 2024. William (Bill) McConnell, PE, MSCE, JD former CEO, has been appointed the position of Chairman of the Board.
David brings 35 years of experience in the global construction disputes industry to Vertex. Most recently, he served as Vice Chairman at Ankura and prior to that he was the General Manager of the $325 million Disputes, Forensics and Legal Technology segment at Navigant, where he built and grew the division globally.

While at Navigant, David Tortorello expanded Navigant’s Disputes and Forensics practice to London, Dubai, Doha, Dhabi, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Sydney. He also led the sale of Navigant’s $325 million Disputes and Forensics segment to Ankura in 2018.

Bill McConnell is a co-founder and the Chairman of the Board of The Vertex Companies, LLC, an international AEC firm.
