VERTEX Speaking at AGC’s 2017 Construction Environmental Conference

September 11, 2017

VERTEX is excited to announce that Amin Terouhid, Ph.D., PMP, DRMP, PSP and Greg Sampson, Vice President, will be presenting at the upcoming AGC Conference. The topic, The Need for Applying Project Management Strategies to Facility Closures and Acquisitions, will present how ineffective oversight and the lack of sound project management strategies can result in schedule slippages, cost overruns, and project failures. This session aims to address the need for applying project management strategies against the backdrop of facility closures and acquisitions. These phases of a project are rife with challenges from inventorying underground structures, to assessing hazardous materials, salvaging efforts, and performing Phase II Environmental Site Assessments in order to prepare the site for new construction and revitalization.  Applying the management approach to these assessments can help reduce risk and provide a clear path to compliance.

The AGC Conference will be held from September 13th and 14th in Crystal City, Virginia.
