VERTEX’s Mike Rose to Co-Present at PLRB Hot topics Webinar

September 12, 2024

VERTEX is pleased to announce that Mike Rose, PE, Forensic Engineer, will be co-presenting at the upcoming Property & Liability Resource Bureau (PLRB) webinar titled “Code Upgrades vs. Pre-existing Conditions.” This informative session is scheduled for Thursday, September 12, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm CDT. Mike Rose will be presenting alongside Joshua Davis, Partner at Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice, to explore the complexities of code upgrade coverage analyses.

Together, Mike Rose and Joshua Davis will break down the intricacies of handling code upgrade claims, a topic that extends beyond mere policy review. The session is designed to equip claims professionals with the knowledge needed to navigate the appropriate codes and develop a robust framework for addressing claims, particularly those involving “substantial structural damage.”

Upon completing the webinar, attendees will gain the ability to:

  • Define terms in the policy associated with code upgrade requirements;
  • Specify the vocabulary from the codes and requisites of upgrade analysis;
  • Describe scenarios impacting code updates and the investigation of prior damages that affect the adjustment of property damage claims.

This webinar is a must-attend for professionals involved in property claims, insurance, and risk management, providing practical strategies and essential knowledge to manage code upgrade claims effectively.

The webinar is approved for Adjuster CE credit in Texas, Oklahoma, and Delaware, though no attorney MCLE credit is available.

To register for this insightful webinar, please visit the PLRB website.
