The Plaintiff’s expert was claiming building envelope-related defects at the project, involving brick, EIFS, siding, windows, roofing, and waterproofing. VERTEX analyzed Plaintiff’s reports and cost of repair estimates, performed on-site investigations and water testing, building code research, and generated a defense response report and cost estimate. In addition, we attended multiple mediations and provided expert witness testimony in deposition and arbitration.
VERTEX’s experience with construction defect cases enabled us to successfully defend the Insured from the allegations being made by the Plaintiff. VERTEX’s involvement contributed to the case settling for more than $10 million less than the Plaintiff’s claimed cost.
