The Challenge

The client requested our experts to assess the current state of outsourced support services and support new selection processes to procure these services.

This new six-level, state-of-the-art surgical pavilion was constructed on a congested urban campus. The facility includes 774,000 SF of above-ground patient floors and below-ground mechanical and parking areas. Features include:

  • $800M Program Budget
  • 156 beds (72 ICU; 84 IMC)
  • 31 ORs featuring two IMRIs; Three dedicated transplant ORs; and one hybrid OR
  • 72 ICU beds
  • 32-bed emergency room, including trauma and isolation suite
  • MRI and imaging
  • 600+ car underground parking garage
  • Major upgrade to the campus’ Central Utility Plant, including addition of chillers; relocation and expansion of the campus medium voltage electrical distribution; chilled water; and potable water systems. CUP work completed with no disruption to classroom operations, athletic events, or social activities

The Solution

Our team assessed the current state of outsourced support services and led new selection processes to procure these services, including development of RFQs/RFPs and management of the selection process.

The Outcome

The client managed final contract negotiations and implementation, with our team providing support as needed. Our team also provided medical equipment planning.
