VERTEX provided oversight on the surety’s behalf for the construction of the Moffett Drive Bridge in Tustin, California. This project involved the construction of a single span cast-in-place concrete box girder bridge with architectural steel arches measuring approximately 108 feet in length and 74 feet in width. The bridge, which spans the Peters Canyon Channel, connects Moffett Drive from Irvine to Tustin, thus increasing access and street connectivity within the Tustin Legacy development. Additional work performed included grading, roadway construction, drainage, street improvements, landscaping, utility construction, barriers, railings, wing-walls, and sidewalks. VERTEX’s scope of services included preparation of cost-to-complete reports, monitoring construction progress and cost analysis, reviewing contractor’s schedule of values, processing payment, project closeout, and other construction administration services.
