VERTEX served as the Defendant’s standard-of-care and damages expert in a matter regarding asphalt and concrete work installed at the shipping yard of a material supply company. VERTEX performed visual inspections of previously installed asphalt and concrete work, oversaw a concrete testing plan, including core samples and laboratory testing, and analyzed test results against contract requirements and applicable codes and standards. As part of the counterclaim, VERTEX performed takeoffs and prepared a repair estimate for the costs of corrective work. A favorable settlement was reached by the Defendant.
