A terraced system of retaining walls that border the backyard of a residential property was constructed against the upper 30 feet of an approximately 130-foot high bluff that borders Lake Michigan. The walls experienced severe downslope displacement. VERTEX was retained by a law firm on behalf of its client to evaluate the cause of failure and prepare a plan for repair with a cost estimate.
