VERTEX served as the surety’s construction consultant on the Endoscopy & Central Processing Addition to the VA Medical Center in Spokane, Washington. The addition project consisted of demolition of the existing structure, 4,352 square feet of remodel in the existing building, and construction of an approximate 17,900 square foot addition including work at the basement and floors 1, 2, 3, and 8 of the existing Medical Center. The addition included the construction of sterilization and decontamination rooms; procedure rooms; walk-in coolers; and imaging, storage, locker, and office rooms. VERTEX’s scope of services included performing multiple site visits to evaluate the work remaining to be completed, preparing a cost to complete, bidding and releting the project, ratifying subcontractors, and evaluating claims. The approximate value of the project was $7.8 million dollars.
