Christopher Carleo
Technical Director
Christopher Carleo has worked on a variety of environmental and construction projects throughout the U.S. He has extensive experience completing projects for the rail industry, gas and electric utilities, oil and gas companies and property developers. His experience includes investigations to define site conditions, analysis of design options, development of design solutions and cost estimates, and management/oversight of construction. His experience includes developing solutions to address contaminated soil, groundwater and sediment as well as developing compliance programs to address surface water discharges, air emissions and waste management. In addition, his experience includes conducting hazardous building materials assessments and developing facility decommissioning and demolition programs.
Mr. Carleo has worked at numerous CERCLA, state Superfund, Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) and sites regulated under various state programs including the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP). He has worked on projects in a variety of physical and geological settings involving a broad array of chemicals including PAHs, BTEX, PCBs, PCP, VOCs and Metals. He is highly experienced serving as project manager or project director leading project teams to scope and complete assignments addressing client and project requirements. His experience includes providing litigation support.
Mr. Carleo has worked on more than 100 railroad projects including investigation and remediation of contaminated soils and groundwater, development of design packages for railroad facility decommissioning, restoration and repair projects, response to spills, and development of compliance programs. He also worked on more than 25 gas and electric utility sites.
