Environmental Engineer, Remediation
Christopher Weiman has more than three years of experience in the Environmental sector. He previously provided valuable industrial hygiene services to clients in the greater New York areas which included consulting, emergency response, safety and compliance procedures, and hazardous waste abatement and storage. He is committed to providing high-quality service to every project, with a focus on health, safety, and environmental issues.
Currently, Mr. Weiman serves as an Environmental Engineer. As an Environmental Engineer, Mr. Weiman is responsible for specific job functions related to Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Phase II ESAs, Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), desktop reviews, and completes approximately 40 projects each year. Project scopes include visitation set up with site representatives, historic local, state and federal municipal research, report writing, and adherence to deadlines and budgets. Additional project-related scopes often include visual assessments of ADA compliance, cost estimation, and capital planning. Mr. Weiman is also responsible for the performance of subsurface investigations inclusive of soil, soil-gas, and groundwater sampling along with air monitoring. Mr. Weiman has managed tasks, subcontractors, and personnel for various projects including scheduling, access notifications, troubleshooting field issues, and budget review.
Since joining VERTEX, Mr. Weiman has completed multiple Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, and PCAs for various clients including lending institutions, large corporations, and private clients on sites including dry cleaners, large industrial, commercial and multi-family residential properties throughout the United States. Additionally, Mr. Weiman has continued to gain experience on various remediation projects.
