Dan Boatwright is a Senior Managing Director within Vertex’s Forensics practice, specializing in the provision of quantum and commercial advice on complex construction and engineering disputes. He has extensive experience acting in high-value, multifaceted arbitration and litigation proceedings across a wide range of sectors and jurisdictions.
Dan has been appointed as Quantum Expert on numerous occasions and has provided expert evidence in disputes relating to major infrastructure, aviation, power, and sports venue projects. His expert appointments have included matters involving an international airport, a power station, a stadium, and large-scale infrastructure developments, including the provision of oral testimony before leading arbitral tribunals and counsel.
In addition to his expert witness work, Dan has led numerous high-profile arbitration, litigation support, and expert advisory engagements, managing multidisciplinary teams on complex and interrelated workstreams. He is experienced in delivering technically robust and commercially focused advice within demanding and often accelerated project and dispute environments.
Dan’s experience spans a broad range of sectors, including commercial and residential buildings, high-rise developments, MEP services, healthcare, education, aviation, power generation, oil and gas, and leisure and entertainment. His expertise includes quantum analysis, commercial management, contract administration, dispute resolution, and international arbitration.
With a strong combination of technical expertise, commercial awareness, and leadership experience, Dan assists clients in navigating some of the most challenging construction and infrastructure disputes.
