As Managing Director at VERTEX, Mr. Borgesen provides operational leadership for the Environmental Service group of the company as well as senior management and technical oversight of projects pertaining to asbestos, indoor air quality, lead-based paint, mold/water intrusion, healthcare compliance, industrial hygiene, and occupational safety on a nationwide basis.
Mr. Borgesen has over 25 years experience in the environmental industry including: coordination and performance of Environmental Audits, Hazardous Materials Building Inspections, Industrial Hygiene Investigations, and Indoor Air Quality Studies. Specific expertise includes: asbestos, industrial hygiene, indoor air quality, construction defect investigations, water intrusion/mold investigations, bio-aerosol sampling, HVAC assessment, emergency response actions, risk assessment, epidemiology, remedial work plan preparation and remedial oversight.
As Senior Consultant on hundreds of environmental claims both in the northeast and across the United States, Mr. Borgesen has managed claims that have included cause & origin investigations, subrogation analysis, remediation of 1st party & 3rd party losses, pollution policies, cost cap policies, and indoor air quality/industrial hygiene claims. Additionally, he has completed claims management on hundreds of personal asbestos/lead/mold/Indoor air quality losses in both the northeast and across the United States. Responsibilities included cause/origin, 3rd party impact evaluations, subrogation analysis, remedial monitoring, contractor negotiations, and remedial cost feasibility reviews.
