Ms. Grody is a Senior Manager with LitCon Group, LLC (A Vertex Company). She specializes in investigations, financial analysis, and forensic accounting matters. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the states of North Carolina and Tennessee and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Ms. Grody received a B.S. in Accounting and Master of Accountancy from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Areas of Expertise

Ms. Grody has managed both civil and criminal cases involving healthcare fraud, money laundering, bribery, and a variety of commercial litigation matters. Additionally, she has supported numerous internal investigations into employee misconduct involving allegations of embezzlement, misappropriation, fraudulent accounting entries, and timekeeping schemes.

Ms. Grody’s involvement includes performing evidence collection, document review, witness interviews, open-source research, and comprehensive examination of bank data and other financial records to locate assets and trace the flow of funds. Ms. Grody has worked closely with attorneys, company management, board of directors, and law enforcement throughout the investigative process to communicate key findings that impact investigative and prosecutorial decisions.

Ms. Grody has significant experience reviewing and preparing large sets of data for analysis and has conducted large-scale document reviews to identify key documents and evidence. Her findings and analyses are regularly used in expert reports. Ms. Grody has experience creating exhibits for use in federal court proceedings to summarize key findings and illustrate financial activity. She has assisted with large data analytic projects to identify potential outliers and anomalies for investigation.

In addition to her investigative experience, Ms. Grody has assisted on damages analyses related to construction, nuclear power, environmental matters, government contracts, and other commercial disputes. She has assessed damages related to construction delays, breach of contract, and increased costs.

Prior to joining LitCon, Ms. Grody was a consultant in the forensic accounting and litigation support group of a public accounting firm.
