Senior Project Manager, Environmental Insurance
Ms. Riser serves as a Senior Project Manager within the Environmental Insurance team at VERTEX. Her roles and responsibilities include: environmental pollution claim cause and origin investigations, conducting site visits to oversee underground storage tank removal and pollution event sites and indoor air quality claims, reviewing cost proposals and invoices to evaluate both remedial feasibility and reasonable and necessary costs for remediation, reviewing historical site documents, evaluating laboratory data, environmental risk investigations, and environmental underwriting review assessments.
She currently investigates and performs pollution loss insurance claims to ensure remediation activities are cost effective and appropriate. This includes preparing claim status reports, claim budget tracking, and analyzing data.
Ms. Riser also provides assistance to the Environmental group with Phase I Environmental Site Assessment report preparation and editing.
Ms. Riser has experience with cause and origin claims, indoor air quality inspections, mold remediation, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, UST removals, pre-renovation and demolition asbestos surveys, OSHA complaints, stormwater and well water management.
