Stephen graduated from University of East London with a BSC (honors) in Land Administration. Stephen has been a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) since the mid-1990s, gaining his Fellowship in the mid-2010s.
Over the previous 25 plus years, Stephen has provided exceptional consulting services to lenders, investors, equity providers, owners, and potential purchasers on a vast array of projects throughout the US and Mexico, including hotels, office buildings, multi-family developments, industrial properties, mixed-use projects, retail developments, and master-planned communities.
As VERTEX’s Executive Vice President, Stephen plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of the company, including the day-to-day operations, staff development, and company training. He assists clients in creating guidelines and tailored scopes of work to assist them in their real estate needs best.
Due Diligence Experience | Stephen has provided Due Diligence services on hundreds of projects over his career, including Comprehensive and ASTM based Property Condition Assessments, Peer reviews, and Entitlement Services. He has also assisted many clients in developing guidelines for these scopes of service over the years.
Preconstruction Experience | Over the past 25 plus years, Stephen has completed many Plan and Cost Reviews and Project Rehabilitation Reviews on various projects from Master Planned communities with golf courses to high-rise office projects. Stephen’s construction experience assists Clients in developing a comprehensive renovation budget, which ensures the long-term preservation of the real estate asset while maximizing their return on investment. Stephen has completed many Contractor and Sub-Contractor Evaluations for Clients, utilizing the best team for any given project, and the Clients financial investment is best safeguarded.
Construction Experience | Stephen has provided Construction Draw Review Services, Construction Project Management, Mid-Construction Reviews, Project Close Out and Warranty Services. Recently, Stephen completed a Cost-To-Complete and ongoing Draw Services on a Master Planned Development in Mexico, which included significant infrastructure (including WWTP and desalination plants), multi- and single-family residential and commercial uses, in addition to a golf course.
Operations Experience | Stephen has been involved in multiple Capital Needs Partnership projects for a variety of clients throughout the US. They ranged from hotel chains to student housing projects. Several of these have included the creation of specific reporting formats best tailored to the Clients needs.
