The Vertex Companies Inc. (Weymouth, Mass.) earned several high profile awards in 2015, appearing 35th on ENR’s list of Top Construction Management/Program Management firms, sixth on ZweigWhite’s Hot Firm List and being named an Environmental Business Journal (EBJ) award recipient for international expansion to name a few.
After beginning operations in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in late 2013 as VTX Consulting Services Inc. (VTX), revenue in Canada grew more than four-fold in 2015. Two noteworthy projects in 2015 included a site remediation project in Ottawa and a large pre-acquisition due diligence portfolio analysis in Ontario. The remediation project involved source removal of subsurface petroleum hydrocarbon soil quality impacts followed by the application of in-situ chemical oxidation and enhanced bioremediation technology. The due diligence project was conducted to provide environmental risk profiles/risk ranking of 243 assets in a four week time period.
VTX offers a wide range of strategic and technical teams with first class services; as well as experienced professionals from various technical and business backgrounds. In addition to the environmental work mentioned above, VTX is also managing an increased volume of construction (primarily surety consulting) and engineering consulting work throughout Canada. VTX joins VERTEX’s other international operation, Vertex Ingenieros Consultores (VIC), which has offices in Monterrey Mexico and Mexico City, expanding VERTEX’s expertise beyond the U.S.
