VERTEX served as the surety’s claims consultant and on-site representative for the construction of a new $53M Dormitory and Conference Center at U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Advanced Training Center in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. The 173,000 square foot Dormitories and Conference Center complex provides 252 residential suites and a 15,000 square foot conference center to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s training initiatives. The project consists of five main structures – four residential buildings and the conference center. The scope included demolition and removal of existing structures as well as site improvements.
VERTEX provided cost-to-complete analysis, relet services, on-site monitoring, and environmental consulting services on the project. VERTEX also served as the lead scheduler for the completing contractor and provided the client with dispute advisory services.
