VERTEX provided consulting services to the surety on structural matters relating to the 112,000 sf Venice High School expansion. This design-build project included four new modular buildings consisting of general classrooms, chemistry labs, a graphic print shops, flexible engineering, and space labs, art & studio art classrooms, and associated storage and support spaces. Also, a new gymnasium building consisting of a main gymnasium and practice gym space, locker/shower rooms, weight room, aerobic/dance space, and associated support spaces. Sitework includes new parking lots, new outdoor athletic space, new softball/baseball fields, tennis/basketball hard courts, concessions, and restrooms. Landscape/hardscape and MEP infrastructure upgrades for the entire complex were also included. VERTEX services included initial review and resolution of structural steel issues and deficiencies, various cost analyses, project monitoring and other miscellaneous construction contract administration, and vender payment resolution.
