VERTEX is pleased to be ranked again this year in Engineer News Record’s (ENR) Top 500 Design Firms. In addition to being ranked as a top design firm, VERTEX has been ranked by ENR for over a decade in various other categories including Construction Management-for-Fee, and Environmental. Those ranked by ENR are considered the top 1% largest AEC firms in the country.
ENR traces its roots back to two publications dating back to 1874. The listing of the Top 500 Design Firms, published annually in April, ranks the 500 largest U.S.-based designs firms, both publicly and privately held, based on design-specific revenue.
ENR’s top ranking lists aim at bringing together a cohesive depiction of the massive and jumbled construction industry for community members in the AEC industry. With over 100,000 AEC firms, they do this by performing annual surveys of its key segments, and ranking companies engaged in general contracting, specialty contracting, engineering, architecture, and environmental services, among other specialties. The rankings are based on annual revenue at home and abroad, are further divided into specific market categories which the listing breaks down by frim type and specific vertical contributions to the industry. The 2022 ENR publication also breaks down competitive measures that the top firms deployed in response to inflation, staffing, supply shortages, and schedule delays.
