VERTEX has been selected to present on two panels at the 2023 Construction Super Conference, including the keynote panel. This marks the third consecutive year where VERTEX has had multiple speakers for this event that is attended by over 500 industry professionals.
VERTEX’s Managing Consultant, Andrew Sargent, PSP, and his co-panelists Kim Rolston, General Counsel at W&W | AFCO Steel, Heather Shore, Shareholder at Shaffer Lombardo Shurin, P.C., and Brent Mackay, Partner at Watt, Tieder, Hoffar & Fitzgerald, LLP are presenting on “Strategies for Managing Challenging Personalities – Strategies for Dealing with Difficult Owners.” This is Andrew’s third year consecutive year presenting at the Construction Super Conference. In 2022, Andrew presented on a highly-rated panel ”Wrongful or Right: What Makes a Termination Proper” with VERTEX’s Ted Bumgardner, and in 2021, Andrew presented with VERTEX CEO and Co-Founder, Bill McConnell PE, JD, MSCE, CDT and VERTEX Executive Vice President Jeff Katz PE, PSP on “Decoding the Mystery of Productivity Claims.”
VERTEX CEO and Co-Founder, Bill McConnell PE, JD, MSCE, CDT will also be speaking at the Super Conference for the third consecutive year. In 2022, Bill and VERTEX Executive Vice President Jeff Katz presented on “Why You Should Care About Standard of Care.” This year, Bill will be speaking as part of the conference’s keynote luncheon panel. Along with Ibrahim S. Odeh, PhD., MBA from Columbia University, and Nathanial Huber-Fliflet from Ankura, Bill will be discussing “The Implications of AI and ChatGPT on the AEC Industry: Risks, Opportunities, and Challenges.” Mr. Odeh was one of Bill’s professors in his Master’s program at Columbia University and VERTEX frequently presents guest lectures at Mr. Odeh’s Master’s program courses.
In addition to Andrew, Bill, and Jeff Katz, recent VERTEX Construction Super Conference panelists include Thomas L. Martin, PE who presented in 2022 on “Risks and Strategies on Concurrency and Pacing for the Proactive Owner / Contractor” and Dayna Anderson, CMA, CFE who also presented in 2022 on “Early Collaboration of Design and Damage Experts Pays Dividends in Construction Defect Cases.”
Dayna Anderson, CMA, CFE and Sashi A. Mahtani, Executive Vice Presidents VERTEX, will also be in attendance at this year’s Super Conference.
