VERTEX is pleased to announce that Dayna Anderson, CMA, CFE, Senior Managing Director of Commercial Damages & Investigations, has been named the 2025 Outstanding Woman in AACE International.
Presented annually, this award recognizes a woman who has demonstrated significant achievement in the industry and within AACE International through leadership, technical excellence, and a commitment to advancing the principles of total cost management.
AACE International (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) is a global professional organization that supports cost engineers, project controls professionals, and risk analysts through certification, education, and industry standards. With a focus on the discipline of total cost management, AACE provides resources and guidance to professionals managing cost and schedule performance across project lifecycles.
Dayna has been an active member of AACE International since 2003. Over the years, she has held a variety of leadership roles, including serving as President of the Chicago-Midwest Section from 2016 to 2018. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Membership Advisory Committee and as Director of Region 4 (Midwest USA), continuing to help shape the future of AACE through mentorship and advocacy.
In addition to her leadership, Dayna has contributed to the organization’s technical programming—most notably as lead for the 2023 Tuesday Keynote session, “COVID-Related Claims and the Challenges of Measuring Associated Impacts.”
As a Certified Management Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner, Dayna brings extensive experience in economic damages analysis and expert witness testimony. Her work at VERTEX focuses on forensic accounting and dispute resolution in complex commercial matters, including litigation, arbitration, and insurance claims.
This recognition reflects Dayna’s longstanding contributions to the field, her commitment to professional development, and her role in advancing the mission of AACE. VERTEX congratulates Dayna on this well-deserved honor.
