On April 9th, Vertex’s Bill McConnell will be presenting the 2019 State of the Industry Report at the Rocky Mountain Surety Association April Lunch. The presentation will include key indicators of U.S. economic performance in 2018, including gross domestic product, corporate profits, consumer confidence, unemployment and wage rates, household debt, inflation, interest rates and the federal deficit. The session will continue with the key indicators of the construction industry’s recent performance, including construction starts, spending, employment and costs, and breakdowns for each of the industry’s major segments.
