University of Massachusetts Colburn Hall Selected as an Outstanding Design

Compass Project Managment, Inc., a subsidiary of The Vertex Companies, Inc., is excited to announce that the University of Massachusetts Lowell Coburn Hall Renovation/Expansion project has been selected as an Outstanding Design in the 2021 American School & University Architectural Portfolio.

Coburn Hall is a 100-year old structure that was one of the first buildings on the University of Massachusetts Lowell Campus. The new Coburn Hall is designed as an innovative center for research, exploration, and interdisciplinary collaboration. The project included a comprehensive renovation of the existing 50,000 square foot building and a 15,300 square foot expansion which includes classrooms, offices, event and collaboration spaces as well as demo spaces for education and psychology students to work on presentation and communication strategies to expand understanding of learning and teaching methodologies.
