VERTEX worked with Semple Brown Design and performed structural engineering design services for the redesign of the Colorado Ballet Building located in Denver, Colorado. The historic building located in the Santa Fe Arts District was designed with the intention to provide room to grow. The new space includes eight professional-grade rehearsal studios, a physical therapy and massage room, a shared staff and dancer lounge, a small black box performance space for its professional company and educational programs, administrative offices, and increased parking. The newly renovated 30,000 SF building was named the Armstrong Center for Dance. The ballet formerly leased a 23,000 SF space in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood where it had been for 20 years.
