Lockwood, Kessler & Bartlett, Inc. (LKB) an affiliate company to The Vertex Companies, LLC (VERTEX) has been retained by NYSDOT to provide construction inspection services for a bridge deck replacement at NY 27 over Hubbards Path in Suffolk County, NY. This project is replacing the deteriorating concrete bridge deck, bearings and steel bridge rails with a new bridge deck and providing a new concrete parapet wall that meets the current crash resistance standards. The new bridge deck will be jointless to eliminate leakage and to further prevent deterioration to concrete piers and abutments.
The construction management/inspection services include overseeing all construction operations and the placement of work zone traffic control. LKB is responsible for monitoring contract progress and maintaining all records in accordance with the Manual of Uniform Record Keeping (MURK), including SiteManager and EBO.
