VTX was contracted to assist three co-sureties in monitoring the construction of two hydroelectric dams known as the Gitchi Animki dams. A dispute between the obligee and the principal resulted in the termination of the principal which was contested for one year. After termination, the obligee began completing the project in order to maintain schedule by adding manpower and re-negotiating subcontracts to mitigate schedule slippage. VTX monitored the progress of the work and evaluated concerns of deficiencies, betterments and reported to the sureties.
