VERTEX served as the Surety’s claim consultant and on-site representative for the construction of the LA 75 Bayou Breaux Bridge located in Iberville Parish, Louisiana. The scope of the project included clearing and grubbing, removal of an existing concrete bridge, grading, installation of drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, driving precast concrete piles, and construction of a new concrete slab span bridge. The project also included installation of concrete driveways and walkways, mailboxes and double swing gates at the driveways to accommodate residents, and pavement markings, striping, and permanent traffic signs for traffic management.
VERTEX’s scope of services included cost to complete analysis, regular on-site construction monitoring, participation in Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings, reviewing subcontractor invoices, processing payment applications, assisting with project closeout, and other construction administration services to assist the contractor and surety with completing the project.
