VERTEX was retained by the general contractor (defendant) to provide a side-by-side cost of repair estimate comparison to the plaintiff expert’s estimate for owner’s scope of work; provide an independent cost of repair estimate for the defendant’s scope of work; provide a summary table of the owner’s alleged issues and the burdened cost total for each alleged issue.
The project consists of a two-story single-family residence, approximately 10,586 SF in size, with a fully-finished walkout basement and a three-car garage. VERTEX performed site inspections, analyzed the plaintiff claim report, reviewed construction documents and contracts, estimated the cost to repair based on both plaintiff’s scope of work and proposed defense’s scope, and summarized the findings for the defense response. VERTEX’s detailed analysis and backup documentation provided the client with clear and concise responses to the plaintiff’s alleged claims.
