VERTEX provided structural engineering services for a residence in Napa, California undergoing a home remodel with an added basement and built to resist flood loads for a wine cellar. Custom steel wall truss, windows located within truss required increased deflection limits as truss supported large ridge beam for a vaulted great room and outdoor space. Light gauge metal pan decking with concrete overlay provided a watertight area over the basement and increased life span.
