Courtney Ciapciak has over 11 years of experience working in the environmental industry. Courtney has a broad range of technical and management expertise in insurance services, environmental consulting, remediation, risk management, and due diligence services. Courtney received her undergraduate degree from Salem State University with an emphasis in Geology.
Courtney serves as a Senior Project Manager at VERTEX. Her roles and responsibilities include: team management, business development, environmental risk investigations, environmental underwriting review assessments, claim investigations, remedy selection, cost evaluation, invoice reviews, cost and closure negotiations, scheduling, coordination of subcontractor activities, and report composition.
She currently investigates and performs technical oversight of pollution loss insurance claims throughout the United States to ensure remediation activities are cost effective and appropriate. This includes preparing claim status reports, claim budget tracking, and analyzing data. In addition, she evaluates environmental and general liability risks for underwriting purposes.
Courtney also serves as Co-Chair of VERTEX’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council and Chair of the LGBTQIA+ Employee Resource Group.
